Wendy attended the Universities of Lethbridge and Regina to obtain a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Art. She is primarily a painter but also works in mixed media and assemblage. She has worked in a variety of art related positions including set painter, prototype designer, exhibition adjudicator, photography assistant, art instructor, artist in residence, and gallery owner.

Wendy has sold and exhibited work across western Canada including at Saskatoon’s Mendel Art Gallery, Regina’s Neutral Ground, The Art Gallery of Regina, the traveling Mary Cooper Gallery, Struck Gallery, Inspire Gallery, Gallery Vertigo, Medicine Hat’s Cultural Centre Gallery and the Medalta Yuill Family Gallery.

Wendy is currently on the board of Street Art Works (SAW) and The Hive Artists’ Hub Society. SAW is a new association which aims to employ artists for the beatification and cultural appeal of Medicine Hat.The Hive Artists’ Hub Society provides promotional and educational opportunities, as well as support and services to its members. The Hive is an artistic and educational resource for the community and is a vibrant part of the cultural scene in Medicine Hat.

Currently Wendy divides her time between studio work, mural projects and teaching independently as well as through the Esplanade’s Artist in the Classroom Outreach Program.
