Open Studio Program

Open Studio is a developmental community art education program to nurture the artistic growth of local artists at all stages of their art practice. Individuals progress at their own pace in small supportive groups with the encouragement and mentoring of professional artists. This year the instructors for Open Studio are Gena LaCoste, Wendy Struck and Annette ten Cate. They will provide technical assistance and professional critique to help you develop or continue to develop your ideas, methods and materials in 2d and 3d explorations.

Wendy Struck
Wendy has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a major in Painting. She is a painter, mixed media artist and object maker. Wendy has been teaching children and adults for 15 years and has worked in the art field in various positions including set painter, art adjudicator, artist in residence and gallery owner. Her work has been exhibited and sold across western Canada.
